What is the program button for?

Most systems work well will all the zones watering once per day. People that have gardens or special landscape needs such a annual beds, often like to water those zones again in the afternoon. This can be accomplished by setting up those zones on a separate program. Press the program button until you see a “B” show up in the display. Go through the programming sequence of days to water and start times, but only put times on those zones that you wish to water separately from the rest. Those zones will automatically come on again in the afternoon. Most controllers have only two programs, but the Rain Bird “LX” series of controllers has 4 programs in addition to many other features.
